The future King of Great Britain Prince Charles and his wife Camilla Parker-Bowles visited the Ukrainian community in Ottawa. They shared the pictures on their official Instagram page.

“Their Royal Highnesses laid a wreath at the National War Memorial, met with members of the Ukrainian community, watched the Royal Canadian Mounted Police walk and celebrated the Queen’s #Platinum Jubilee,” the royals noted on their page.

In particular, the Queen’s son and his wife attended a service in one of the churches of Ottawa, namely the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, talked to the Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada Yulia Kovaliv, representatives of youth organizations and tasted Ukrainian dumplings.

Prince Charles also received a famous postage stamp with a Russian warship as a gift.

“This stamp has become a symbol of the indestructible spirit of Ukrainians, the will to win and gratitude for the support of our partners. As the brave Ukrainian military defends our home, Ukraine, many of our citizens have taken refuge in Canada. We are grateful to Canada, Great Britain and all Commonwealth countries for their support in these difficult times,” said Yulia Kovaliv in a comment to Suspilniy.

Recall, Prince Charles could meet his son Harry during a trip to Canada.
