Pilot

Tom Cruise, star of “Top Gun: Maverick,” invited his buddy, popular TV host and actor James Corden, to take him on a training flight to demonstrate some of the aviation tricks he happened to perform during filming.

Corden was initially skeptical of the idea, especially when he learned that he would be flying a World War II-era plane. “You’re not a pilot, you’re an actor. With all due respect, you played a lawyer in A Few Good Men, but I wouldn’t want you representing me in court, okay? You’re convincing me to take off in a 75-year-old airplane with someone who’s not a pilot,” he clarified, before dashing off toward the desert.

Cruz eventually managed to talk his buddy into it, but warned him before the flight that if the engine caught fire, he would “drop the lantern, raise the nose 45 degrees, and then flip” and eventually “eject” Corden from the plane so he could use the parachute.

However, the surprises didn’t end there. On the second day of training, the TV host had to go through an equally harsh ordeal.

Recall that Tom Cruise is famous for performing the most difficult and dangerous stunts by himself in his movies.
